Message from Mark Daus: The final draft of the Rolling Steel Fire Door Technician Certification study guide is complete and posted to the virtual boardroom. I’d like the board to please review this file, provide feedback and edits if necessary, and be prepared to approve it at the June meeting. This incorporates Milt’s and DASMA’s review edits, as well as my own thorough edit and rewrite of a good amount of it. The changes were extensive and touched nearly everything, so changes are not tracked in this document. If you prefer, I can go through and try to highlight some of the more major edits that were made. As a procedural item, after any feedback is addressed and the board gives final approval of this study guide, I’ll add links to the TOC and make one last format/layout update, and then it will be released.  I have exam updates completed and ready to go with it, and I will have to make changes to the 2 and 3 day school materials that need to coordinated with the launch of this study guide and the exam updates. I anticipate a few minor additional edits to the study guide as I synchronize some of these changes with Accreditation sections 4 and 5, and the Advanced Overhead Door Operator Technician study guides, but nothing substantial to impact approval.
